Spring Session 2023

Members get priority registration for the upcoming session, as well as a discounted rate to sign up for classes. Now is your chance to learn French with the Alliance Française!

Cost:

AFSA members rate: $375 for the 12-week session

Membership must be current/in good standing at time of enrollment for the member rate. If AFSA membership is lapsed, member will be notified. Lapsed members are welcome to renew their membership prior to enrolling in classes.

Deadline to enroll with member pricing is December 16, 2022.

Step 2: Contact Katherine Marquette, our coordinator, to complete your placement exam (new students only). This will help us determine the correct class level for your enrollment. Katherine can be reached through email at classes@afsanantonio.org

French for Beginners – online through Zoom

Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm

January 19th – April 6th, 12 consecutive weeks

Have you always wanted to study the French language? This is where you start! No previous experience required. No placement test required.

French for Advanced Beginners – online through Zoom

Tuesdays- 6:30pm-8:00pm

January 17th – April 4th, 12 consecutive weeks

Are you comfortable with the basics of French, conjugating verbs in the present tense, and want to continue your learning? This class could be for you! Those looking to enroll in classes above the level of Beginner will need to take a placement test.

Intermediate French – online through Zoom

Thursdays- 6:30pm-8:00pm

January 19th – April 6th, 12 consecutive weeks

Are you well beyond the basics and conversational in French? This course will have you delving more deeply into complex grammar topics. Those looking to enroll in classes above the level of Beginner will need to take a placement test.

French Conversation for Beginners – online through Zoom

Thursdays- 6:30pm-8:00pm

January 19th – April 6th, 12 consecutive weeks

Looking for an informal class focused on building confidence with French conversation? Learn new vocabulary while an instructor uses guided questions to get you talking. Flash reviews of grammar and tenses where needed. No textbook.

*Alliance Française de San Antonio will conduct its in-person French classes at a location just off the 410 Loop in North-Central San Antonio.

CANCELLATIONS

The Alliance Française reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment quotas are not meet. Notifications will be sent to those enrolled by email and/or phone call.

PAYMENT

Payment must be made in full at time of registration, by credit card (via Paypal), or checks mailed to: Alliance Française de San Antonio, PO BOX 790064, San Antonio, TX 78279.

WITHDRAWALS

Please take into careful consideration your ability to commit to class schedules before registering/enrolling. In cases of tragedy or unforeseeable events, withdrawal requests are to be submitted in writing to: admin@afsanantonio.org.

– Withdrawals received 7 days prior to the start date of the course: Students will be refunded full tuition, minus a $25 processing fee. Refunds will be processed to the credit card used for payment or issued in the form of a check, if payment was made by check.

– Withdrawals received less than 7 days after the start date of the course: Students will be refunded 50% of the tuition paid, minus a $25 processing fee.

– Withdrawals received more than 7 days after the start date of the course: No refund will be issued.

– Please note that absence from class does not constitute notice of withdrawal.
